Ivy's (Not So Angry) Inch

3/24/08 - In case you missed the headline, some of us have decided to get together and celebrate / mourn turning 60 by going on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. Again, no pressure to do a lot of group stuff - only if you want to; just come along, party as you choose, do your own side tours or get together with other classmates and even "other human beings!" Anne Montgomery Bagley is helping organize and we already have four couples who have signed up. Singles welcome, too!

1/1/08 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Hope your holidays, were as great for you as our Christmas was for us. Now that we're in our new home, we're kind of juggling traditions and decorations around to see which ones will fit in the new venue. We married-off Number One Son in October to a Brizillian girl and we're learning, courtesy of the new in-laws, that we have to incorporate some of their traditions into our planning.

It's great to hear that various groups of our classmates are continuing to get together since reconnecting at the Reunion. If you're not among those who are keeping in-touch, don't be shy. Grab an email of an old high school chum from the Who's Connected section and start a virtual gathering place in the Discussion Groups. Or, give them a call and set-up a lunch.

9/29/07 - Wow! Over a month has gone by already!

We lost Mel Pedersen this week. Our sympathies go out to his family and loved ones. Have you noticed that most obits don't mention the high school, but when it's an East High grad, it often gets mentioned?

Also, just a quick note to say that Jon Roylance has accepted the request to become an East High '67 website colum-nist. If you don't know Jon (or even if you do!), I think you'll enjoy his style. We shared Jack Christensen's Creative Writing class and I was always astounded by the way he could put words together. He's not on any kind of a deadline, though, so you'll have to keep checking back.

8/25/07 - I can't believe it's finally here! FYI, Craig Brewster has done a fantastic job of organizing and planning this year's reunion. Thanks to all the Committee mem-bers and to each one of you who have Reconnec-ted. We are going to keep the website going, so please stop by to just say "hi' or to update your con-tact info if you move, change your email or whatever... and see what folks are contributing in the Discussion Groups and the Picture Gallery. "Old friends are the best friends." See you tonight!

8/9/07 - As I think I mentioned somewhere on this site, I won't be bringing a video camera this year, but I seriously hope some of you videophiles and still photogs will bring your cam-eras and then send us your videos so we can archive them and post them here. And, we've got a great photo Gallery sec-tion that goes virtually unused, so if you take still shots, please up-load them to the Gallery, or attach them in an email to us and I'll post them for you.

8/6/07 - Added more names and photos. Sorry I'm so slow. Brewster informs us that we will actually be able to pay for the food and the venue. Thanks to all who have reg-istered and paid. Let me know if you find errors anywhere. See you on the 25th!!

7/20/07 - Thanks to Emery Ander-son, we now have East High '67 Band and Orchestra music! Thanks M!... Sorry it took me so long to get it posted. Click on the Music button for a page that will link you to either the Band or A Cappella pages.

7/20/07 - A number of people have mentioned having trouble viewing the "In Memoriam" page. Try it now, I think it's working, but let me know if you still can't view it. One other possi-bility is that you need to download an ActiveX con-trol to work with your browser. If you get a popup window asking to install ActiveX, tell it yes.

7/7/07 - FYI, Gloria and I are moving our household this weekend (in 102+ degree weather!), so I won't be able to do any updat-ing until probably next weekend.
